Our Faith and Calling

God’s Pit Crew is grounded in the fact that we do what we do for a higher purpose. We believe that we are called to serve others and that it is every Christian’s responsibility to follow the direction of Christ according to scripture.

“I tell you the truth, whatever you have done for one of the least of these, you have done it unto me.”
– Matthew 25:40

Statement of Faith

• We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
• We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
• We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.
• We believe that in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, Christians are enabled to live a Godly and powerful life.
• We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
• We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
• And all of this leads us to a higher purpose… A mandate to serve our generation and meet the needs of people wherever they are, whether across the street or around the world.

In a world of hopelessness, we offer hope. In a world of devastation, we offer help. In a world of hurt, we offer God’s love.

We refuse to be dismayed, disengaged, or distracted. We will not look back, fall back, or sit back. We do not have time for business as usual or small thinking, and we will not give up.

We pray when things look bad. We pray when things look good. We move forward when others stand still. We trust God when obstacles arise, and we push ahead when the task is overwhelming.

Our calling is to bring hope, healing, and restoration to those in times of crisis. We are God’s Pit Crew. This is who we are.
