God’s Pit Crew will restore hope to the Nichols and Berdley families who lost their homes in the tornado outbreak earlier this year in Rolling Fork\, Mississippi. We will be doing two houses simultaneously\, so please consider helping if you can. \nTentatively\, a team will leave the Hope Hauler Lot at God’s Pit Crew in Danville\, Virginia\, on Saturday\, September 23 \, 2023\, at 6:30 AM to travel to a designated stopping location for the night\, and then will arrive in Rolling Fork\, Mississippi\, on Sunday\, September 24\, 2023 (two travel days). Work will begin on Monday\, September 25\, 2023. *THERE WILL NOT BE ANOTHER TEAM LEAVING FROM DANVILLE\, VIRGINIA AFTER SEPTEMBER 23* Work will continue through October 5\, 2023\, with a planned presentation the morning of October 6\, 2023. The team will then begin the return home after the presentation. All volunteers are welcome and encouraged to stay for the home reveal presentation! \nIf you plan to travel with the team and ride in a God’s Pit Crew vehicle from headquarters in Danville\, Virginia\, then you must be prepared to stay the entire time. *IF YOU DO NEED A RIDE WITH THE TEAM\, PLEASE CONTACT RUTHIE AT RUTHIE@GODSPITCREW.ORG OR CALL THE OFFICE – WE MUST KNOW BY SEPTEMBER 15* If you want to travel with the team and follow in your own personal vehicle\, you are welcome to do so and please note it in the comments.  You may also plan to meet the team at the housing site listed in the Sign Up link.  Arrival at the housing site is scheduled for approximately 4:00 PM on September 24\, 2023. \n\nWe do provide housing for all of our volunteers.  You will need an air mattress\, bedding\, hygiene items\, and any other personal items.  There will be a shower trailer onsite and laundry service\, if needed (no linens will be washed).  Towels and washcloths will be provided.     \nGod’s Pit Crew will have a chef preparing all meals; drinks and snacks will be provided at the housing site as well as the job site.  *IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE TO SIGN UP SO WE CAN HAVE THE NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS FOR LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS AND TO LET THE CHEFS KNOW HOW MANY THEY WILL BE SERVING EACH DAY.\n\nIf you are interested in joining us #movehopeforward\, please sign up so we can save a spot for you!  You will receive additional details via email once you sign up.
