GOD’S PIT CREW DEPLOYING DISASTER RELIEF VOLUNTEERS TO FLORIDA FOLLOWING HURRICANE ISAIAS
DANVILLE, VA. (October 10, 2026) – In the wake of widespread destruction caused by Hurricane Isaias, God’s Pit Crew is mobilizing volunteer disaster relief teams to assist families and communities impacted by the storm in Milton, Florida, and surrounding areas.
Volunteer crews will deploy on Monday, October 12, and remain through Wednesday, October 21, providing hands-on assistance to residents facing extensive storm damage. Crews will focus on removing fallen and damaged trees, clearing storm debris, installing roof tarps, and helping families take the first steps toward recovery.
Hurricane Isaias has left communities facing significant destruction, with fallen trees, damaged homes, and scattered debris creating dangerous conditions and overwhelming challenges for residents. As families begin assessing the damage and navigating the difficult days ahead, God’s Pit Crew volunteers will work alongside residents to provide assistance and encouragement during a time of great need.
“When a hurricane leaves this kind of destruction behind, families are often facing more than they can manage on their own,” shared God’s Pit Crew Immediate Response Director, Chris Chiles.
“Our volunteers are ready to get on the ground and help tackle some of the toughest cleanup challenges. Whether we’re clearing a tree from someone’s home, placing a tarp over a damaged roof, or just taking time to listen and pray with a family, we want these communities to know there are people who care.”
Throughout the deployment, God’s Pit Crew will provide lodging and meals for its volunteers, allowing crews to focus on serving those affected by the storm.
Volunteers interested in joining the Florida disaster relief deployment are encouraged to visit GodsPitCrew.org/Relief for registration details and additional information.
“Our hearts and prayers are with every family whose life has been affected by this hurricane,” stated God’s Pit Crew President, Randy Johnson.
“Disasters like this are why we work year-round to remain prepared to respond. Because of our donors, volunteers, and generous partners, we can put helping hands into communities when they need them most.”
