God’s Pit Crew’s Regional Distribution program is able to aid other distribution groups all throughout the region! One of our partners – Celebration Church in Raleigh, North Carolina – has an ongoing Mobile Food Pantry Drive-Thru program in which people from the church and surrounding community can hop in their cars and receive free, pre-bagged grocery items with ease three Saturdays each month. “A lady drove up to our food distribution line in October and upon arrival, she was warmly greeted as she gave her information to our line attendant. While our team was loading the groceries into her car, our food line attendant asked if she could pray with her or if she had a prayer request. This woman shared a prayer request and prayed together with the church volunteer. After praying, this woman had big tears in her eyes as she told, ‘You have no idea the blessing you are to me. This food is a blessing to me. You see, I have special needs and due to circumstances, I haven’t eaten in two days.’”
“A gentleman came through the distribution line, and as a Spanish-only speaker he didn’t have a lot to say and didn’t share much with our Spanish speaking line attendant. Our team loaded food into his car, and he gave permission for the line attendant to pray with him and then went on his way. Two weeks later, the man came through the line again, this time with quite a bit of joy! He explained that two weeks prior when he came through the line, his intentions were to make a meal with the food he received and then go home to end his life. He changed his mind after not only receiving food but being treated as a person and prayed for! Upon hearing this story, our team leader and the gentleman hugged and thanked God for moving on his heart. We shared the Gospel with this man, and he gave his heart to the Lord.”
