God’s Pit Crew Responding to the COVID-19 Outbreak

God’s Pit Crew’s mission is, “With God’s help and direction to give hope, healing, and restoration to hurting people in times of crisis.” 

The meaning of the word crisis is immense and God’s Pit Crew is committed to continuing to provide hope, healing, and restoration to help the hurting due to COVID-19 and the recent tornado outbreaks in multiple states.

Since March 1, 2020, God’s Pit Crew has responded to:

  • 50 different cities that have received essential relief supplies.
  • 51 total semi-loads of disaster relief and life-sustaining products have been delivered.
  • 11 states have received assistance from God’s Pit Crew.
  • The gift-in-kind cost of product shipped to COVID-19 response and disaster responses since March 1, 2020, is over $1.3 Million.
  • Since January 2020, over 9,100 Blessing Buckets have been shipped to disaster victims.

 

COVID-19 Response:

  • A small team of GPC volunteers worked for two weeks to assemble 150,000 meals. Over 92,500 meals have already been distributed to people who need them the most.
  • 1,000 Meal Boxes and Backpacks have been assembled and distributed to multiple locations.
  • God’s Pit Crew is working to help our first responders by providing some face masks, gloves, hand-sanitizer, and other forms of PPE.

Tornado Responses:

Apart from the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, God’s Pit Crew is directly involved in responding to the deadly tornado outbreaks that have impacted Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas.

God’s Pit Crew has responded to tornadoes in the following cities:

  • Nashville, Tennessee
  • Jonesboro, Arkansas
  • Cleveland, Tennessee
  • Chattanooga, Tennessee
  • Collins, Mississippi
  • Onalaska, Texas
  • Columbia. Mississippi

God’s Pit Crew also sent a small team of volunteers to help clear lots and debris in the Cleveland/Chattanooga area, and our Dallas based team helped clear debris in the Jonesboro, Arkansas, area.
