God’s Pit Crew has been invited back to the Martinsville Speedway to hold a food box giveaway. These food boxes will provide families in the community with a generous box of food and a case of Gatorade. Thank you for considering volunteering for this giveaway at the speedway! Please review the following requirements before signing up.

Date: Tuesday, April 11th

Time: Arrive by 12:30 pm-7:30 p.m. (the actual giveaway is 3:00 -7:00 p.m., but we need set-up/teardown). Please come directly to the speedway.

Location: Martinsville Speedway (See directions below)

DIRECTIONS: Please turn onto Industrial Park Rd off US Business 220. From Industrial Park Rd, turn right onto Clover Rd. We are located on Clover Rd at Parking Lot 12 (Left side, you will see the GPC trailers). Turn left into 2nd turn into the lot and park to the back of the lot in front of the concrete barriers as close to the right side of the entrance as possible. This is furthest away from the GPC trailers. Someone will be there to direct you.) See the attached map for more details.

Requirements:

• You must be 16 years or older to participate in this event.
• You must be able to meet the physical requirements for the job you sign up for.
• You must wear your God’s Pit Crew RED volunteer T-shirt or a Red Be the Blessing T-Shirt (for non-registered temporary volunteers). Please let us know if you do not have one before the day, and we will bring you one. (registered volunteer t-shirts are $10.00, and Be the Blessing T-Shirts are $15.00, payable on the day of the event).
• If you are not a registered volunteer, save time at check-in by downloading and filling out the attached form to bring with you to the event.

Lunch, drinks, snacks, and port-a-johns will be on site for volunteer use. Once you arrive, we will have lunch, you will be placed in your job assignment, and we will have a short meeting to explain what you will be doing. Please be prompt. This is an exciting opportunity to serve the needy in our community, and we are thankful that you want to be part of it!
