GOD’S PIT CREW AND MOORE’S ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL OF ALTAVISTA, VIRGINIA, HOST BLESSING BUCKET ASSEMBLY TO PREPARE FOR DISASTER

DANVILLE, VA. (October 4, 2023) – God’s Pit Crew and Moore’s Electrical and Mechanical of Altavista, Virginia, will soon take part in a special assembly event of filling Blessing Buckets with much needed emergency supplies. Moore’s staff members along with the volunteer leadership team from God’s Pit Crew will work together to fill five-gallon Blessing Buckets with non-perishable food, first aid supplies, hygiene items, Bibles, and handwritten notes of encouragement.

Natural disasters and the threat of major crisis have seemingly increased all around the world, and daily there are alerts of impending severe weather, earthquakes, potential flooding, and many other threats. The upcoming packing event with Moore’s will help grow the amount of Blessing Buckets that are currently inventoried, which can then be used at a moment’s notice when the next disaster strikes.

This mobile Blessing Bucket assembly will take place on Friday, October 6, from 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM at 101 Edgewood Drive, Altavista, Virginia, 24517. The team of volunteers assembled by Moore’s will use the specially designed mobile assembly lines to gather the buckets and fill them with items that will help provide hope and help for survivors of major disasters. This event will help to replenish the Blessing Bucket program that has already distributed nearly 17,000 Blessing Buckets so far this year.

This Friday will be the third mobile Blessing Bucket packing event that Moore’s and God’s Pit Crew have partnered together to accomplish. The first-ever mobile packing event hosted by God’s Pit Crew was held at Moore’s in 2021, so this partnership means a lot to all involved.

God’s Pit Crew Blessing Bucket Operations Manager, Miki Jenkins, spoke of the upcoming event stating, “We are excited to partner with the team at Moore’s again, and we truly value the relationship that continues to grow between them and God’s Pit Crew. It is a blessing for all these people to gather together and take the time to assemble these Blessing Buckets.”

“Blessing Buckets are desperately needed for disaster survivors and are God’s Pit Crew’s first line of response after disaster strikes. The buckets provide emergency supplies, along with emotional and spiritual encouragement when people need it the most,” continued Jenkins.

“Moore’s is a family-oriented, Christ-centered company,” told Andy Moore, president and CEO of Moore’s Electrical and Mechanical. “As a mission-driven company, we encourage our employees to volunteer and make a lasting impact on those in need, and this event is a great way to get everyone involved and help make a difference.”

The event taking place on Friday, October 6, will fill over 1,000 Blessing Buckets. With frequent disasters seeming to happen with little time in between, God’s Pit Crew is thankful for all supporters who donate and volunteer to assemble Blessing Buckets that are ready to be distributed without haste when times of turmoil strike.

Since the beginning of the year, God’s Pit Crew has responded to 12 disaster situations throughout the country and delivered 65 tractor-trailer loads of relief supplies to disaster victims.
