By March 3, 2020No Comments

DANVILLE, VA- 03/03/20- God’s Pit Crew has been reaching out to contacts in Tennessee, after strong storms and a tornado ripped through Nashville, Tennessee and other towns in western Tennessee late Monday evening.

At this time, GPC knows that the tornado has caused widespread damage, has damaged or destroyed dozens of structures, and has killed several people.

“We have been in contact with churches and people who are in the affected areas, and GPC will be ready to respond accordingly as more information on the current needs is gathered,” said Brandon Nuckles, chief operating officer for God’s Pit Crew.

When more information becomes available, God’s Pit Crew will send out any updates on this storm.

As tornado season arrives, it is important that God’s Pit Crew is ready to respond by having plenty of Blessing Buckets and relief supplies on-hand. On Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7, GPC will have a Pop-Up Blessing Bucket Drive at the Danville Walmart at Mount Cross Road and the Walmart Neighborhood Market in Nordan from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Volunteers will be collecting essential relief items that go inside our Blessing Buckets.

For those who can’t make it to this weekend’s drive and would like to help support God’s Pit Crew’s disaster responses or Blessing Bucket program, please visit godspitcrew.org/donate and select “Disaster Response” or “Blessing Buckets” as your gift designation.

UPDATE

As of the afternoon of Tuesday, March 3, God’s Pit Crew will be delivering two tractor-trailer loads of relief supplies, including Blessing Buckets, to victims of the tornadoes in Nashville, TN.
