GOD’S PIT CREW SENDING CRITICAL RELIEF SUPPLIES TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA IN MIDST OF DEADLY WILDFIRE OUTBREAK
DANVILLE, VA. (January 9, 2025) – In response to the catastrophic wildfires ravaging Southern California, God’s Pit Crew is dispatching a full tractor-trailer load of Blessing Buckets to the greater Los Angeles area. The disaster relief buckets, each carefully packed with critical supplies, are intended to provide immediate assistance to those impacted by the fires.
The Southern California wildfires have claimed lives, destroyed homes, and displaced thousands, creating a dire need for basic necessities such as food, water, hygiene products, and emotional support. God’s Pit Crew’s Blessing Buckets – which are filled with essential items like bottled water, nonperishable food items, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies – are designed to provide relief and help communities begin the long process of recovery.
“We’ve witnessed the devastation caused by these fires, and our hearts go out to everyone affected. In times like these, no one should face these challenges alone,” said Randy Johnson, God’s Pit Crew President and Founder. “Each Blessing Bucket is not only packed with life-saving supplies but also wrapped in prayer. We’re praying for peace, protection, and restoration for all those impacted, and we stand ready to help however we can.”
God’s Pit Crew’s Blessing Buckets also include a personalized note of encouragement and scripture, offering comfort and hope in the midst of destruction. Volunteers and community partners in California at Calvary Chapel of Monrovia will distribute the buckets directly to people who need immediate assistance.
“Wildfires move quickly, and the damage they leave behind is overwhelming. However, we believe that in the darkest times, light shines through providing hope when needed most,” added Johnson.
The response to California comes at the same time the ministry prepares its return to Western North Carolina to continue assisting areas still recovering from Hurricane Helene.
As the organization looks to restock their inventory of Blessing Buckets to keep responding and providing the much-needed materials, anyone interested in sponsoring a Blessing Bucket – which cost $35 per bucket to fill – or to support their ongoing relief efforts is encouraged to visit GodsPitCrew.org or call (434) 836-4472.
