Host a Be the Blessing Packing Event

A Be the Blessing Packing event is a great way for your community to assemble Blessing Buckets filled with life-sustaining supplies that will go to someone affected by a natural disaster or crisis. We think that you will be surprised to see how easy it is to host an event. We have everything you need including a God’s Pit Crew event coordinator that will be with you from start to finish.

Gather Volunteers from your Community

Invite your friends, family members, church members, and co-workers to help you pack Blessing Buckets. Anyone age 12 and older is welcome to participate. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Check out our Tool Bucket to help you get started.

Choose a Site

The area must be a paved lot that has at least a 100 foot x 100 foot space for the event plus have room to fit two 80 foot tractor-trailers with the ability for them to pull in and turn around.

Set your date with God's Pit Crew

God’s Pit Crew will work with you to set the perfect date for your Be the Blessing Packing Event. Find the event agreement and additional helpful information in the Tool Bucket.

Advertise your Be the Blessing Packing Event

God’s Pit Crew provides preprinted or fillable PDF files and social media links to help you get the word out. You will want to use email, social media, press releases, posters to let your community know about your event. It’s all in the Tool Bucket.

Raise the funds

Event costs includes the cost of each Blessing Bucket ($35.00 each) plus a one-time event fee. During each one day event 1000 Blessing Buckets will be assembled over 2 sessions: one morning session and one afternoon session. Don’t let the cost deter you, there are many ways you can raise funds for this event. Check out the Tool Bucket to find fundraising options.

Volunteer sign-up

All that you have to do is have your volunteers sign-up for your event, God’s Pit Crew will do the rest. We will set up your sign-up page that lets people not only sign up but also donate to your event. We will track how many people are signed up, send reminder emails/texts, and follow up with your volunteers after the event.

On the day of your event

God’s Pit Crew’s leadership team will take if from here. We bring our mobile packing unit in prior to your event. Your volunteers will help us set-up. We run the event while your team gets to enjoy the fun and fellowship of assembling Blessing Buckets.  After the buckets are assembled, your volunteers will help us tear down. The end result? Hope for those who are hurting in the form of Blessing Buckets that your volunteers made!
