Moore’s Electrical & Mechanical Blessing Bucket Testimony
“Over the past 15 years, it has been a tremendous blessing to partner with God’s Pit Crew in so many ways. As a trade skill organization, it has been a natural fit to support their mission while providing electrical, plumbing and heating and air conditioning assistance in multiple rebuilds across the United States – ranging from homes, churches, and schools. Moore’s has had the chance time and again to see the God’s Pit Crew organization up close and personal, and we are always inspired by how they represent our Lord and Savior with the excellence they bring to every opportunity.
The last few years, our company found another great way to partner with God’s Pit Crew while at the same time getting more of our Moore’s partners involved in giving back. This has been through their Mobile Blessing Bucket Packing Events. Part of our vision at Moore’s is to “Give Back to the Community.” Moore’s also provides every full-time partner with eight hours per year paid time to go out and volunteer in the local community through the “M-Power Hours Benefit.” It was a natural fit to bring these two together.
Moore’s has held a Mobile Blessing Bucket Packing Event for multiple years now. We have done them at our headquarters in Altavista, Virginia – and this past year, we held an even bigger event at River Ridge Mall in Lynchburg, Virginia. Our goal is to bring as much recognition as we can to God’s Pit Crew in order to strengthen their mission and impact for disaster relief. These buckets are a five-gallon miracle to someone who has just lost everything. They are full of all the necessities we can take for granted in day-to-day life. During these packing events, we have hundreds of our Moore’s partners involved in giving back while at the same time helping them see that they are sharing the love of Jesus Christ with someone they will probably never meet.
Our partners have been able to pack thousands of buckets at one packing event. We have also found that with any volunteering opportunity, you show up to help someone else but always leave impacted personally by the very act of giving of yourself. There have been numerous stories of these buckets going out almost immediately to hard hit areas around the United States – and as far as Haiti during the earthquake recovery. We have seen that these Blessing Bucket Packing Events create some of the highest morale days of the year around Moore’s! That embodies what we have all heard since we were young: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” It has been an absolute blessing to be a small part of this organization’s God-sized mission. We look forward to many more opportunities together!”
HIT THE ROAD! Have you felt called to help others in need but didn’t know what to do or where to start? God’s Pit Crew’s Mobile Blessing Bucket Assembly Line is ready to hit the road and travel to you so together we can ensure critical relief supplies get into the hands that need them most after disaster strikes.
Our red tractor-trailer fully equipped with Blessing Buckets, supplies, and the ready-to-go assembly line can come to your church or business – no matter the location – and you, your friends, community, and church can join in the heartwarming fellowship of filling Blessing Buckets to provide hope to someone who has lost everything in the midst of disaster. Not everyone can go to a disaster location and volunteer, but through the Mobile Packing Events, God’s Pit Crew has found a way for everyone to still lend a helping hand!
“Dear God’s Pit Crew, I want to thank you so much for the Blessing Buckets and your prayers. I am still displaced from tornado damage, but all is well. The supplies in these buckets were a Godsend to my daughter and myself that first week [after the storm].”
Be the blessing for someone in need and reach out to our Blessing Bucket Team to learn how to get involved.
