“Meet Joe, a client of MTVB Food Pantry. One of the first clients to visit since the inception over three years ago. We are open every other Saturday, and Mr. Joe is there every time with few exceptions. Mr. Joe is a senior citizen from the Martinsville area. With several health conditions and limited income, he relays to our team, ‘It is hard to get by.’
“At MTVB Food Pantry, it is not only Mr. Joe who has become a member of our family but all our clients. All the families – from the littles who come in, to quiet seniors offering hugs – our appreciative clients have all grown to love each other, pray for one another and have grown to look out for one another. From a seed laid on our hearts from God and the blessing of God’s Pit Crew, a mission developed, and a family was born.”
