GPC Responding to Tornadoes Impacting Onalaska, TX and Columbia, MS

By April 28, 2020No Comments

DANVILLE, VA- 04/23/20- God’s Pit Crew is on the way to Onalaska, Texas, with a tractor-trailer load of relief supplies after a devastating tornado hit last night. An additional tractor-trailer load will leave the GPC distribution center early next week and will be heading to Columbia, Mississippi, which is currently recovering from a tornado that hit earlier this week. In the last three weeks, God’s Pit Crew has delivered nearly 30 tractor-trailer loads of relief supplies to nine different states in response to the COVID-19 crisis, and to areas in Mississippi and Tennessee that were impacted by tornadoes earlier this month. While staying extremely busy responding to the spring tornadoes and COVID-19, a small team worked for two weeks to assemble 150,000 meals to help people who are in need of nutritious meals. At this time, nearly 100,000 of these meals are already in the hands of those who need them most. With financial support, GPC can have the trucks and equipment filled and ready to travel to where the greatest needs are. This support makes it possible to have Blessing Buckets assembled and ready to be loaded and distributed to hurting people in need.
