DANVILLE, VA. (March 20, 2023) – Hope and help for victims of catastrophic floods. God’s Pit Crew is sending our Immediate Response team to Pond, California, following ongoing floods which are devastating the region. Our Immediate Response Coordinator is taking a small leadership team of volunteers to help victims and train volunteers there how to respond and muck out homes.
Our team left our headquarters in Danville, Virginia, yesterday to travel to Kern County and plans to stay for ten days. We will muck out homes and organize local volunteers to teach them how to respond to significant flooding disasters.
God’s Pit Crew Immediate Response Coordinator Chris Chiles says, “This area has been hit by recording-breaking rain and snow, causing catastrophic floods. We are praying for everyone impacted. We’re grateful to be able to send a team of volunteers to respond and to train local volunteers how to muck out homes. Thank you to everyone who helps us to provide hope, healing, and restoration to hurting people in their time of need.”
