GOD’S PIT CREW RESPONDS TO DEVASTATING WISCONSIN TORNADO WITH RELIEF SUPPLIES AND VOLUNTEER CREWS WHILE CONTINUING FLOOD RECOVERY EFFORTS IN WEST VIRGINIA
DANVILLE, VA. (July 30, 2026) – Following the catastrophic tornado outbreak that tore through portions of east-central Wisconsin, God’s Pit Crew is responding by deploying critical disaster relief supplies and Immediate Response volunteers to assist communities recovering from widespread destruction.
Powerful tornadoes moved through communities including Menasha and Appleton, Wisconsin, causing extensive damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure. According to emergency management officials, the severe weather outbreak produced destructive winds that uprooted countless trees, damaged buildings, and left many families facing significant cleanup and recovery efforts.
God’s Pit Crew has dispatched multiple tractor-trailer loads of critical relief supplies from its headquarters in Danville, Virginia, to support those impacted by the storms.
The shipments include pallets of the ministry’s signature Blessing Buckets – 5-gallon buckets filled with more than 30 essential cleaning and hygiene items, along with a Bible, providing families with many of the basic supplies needed as they begin cleaning their homes after disaster strikes. Also included are Children’s Play Pails, specially assembled kits containing hygiene items, books, games, stuffed animals, and comforting activities designed to provide encouragement and a sense of normalcy for children whose lives have been suddenly disrupted.
Additional relief supplies include pallets of bottled water and sports drinks to help keep residents, volunteers, and first responders hydrated during recovery efforts, along with generators, cleaning wipes, ponchos, and other urgently needed supplies identified by local partners serving the affected communities.
God’s Pit Crew’s Immediate Response volunteer team is also deploying to Wisconsin, where trained volunteers will provide hands-on assistance by removing damaged trees, clearing storm debris, and installing emergency roof tarps to help protect homes from further damage. The volunteer crews arrive equipped with the heavy equipment, specialized tools, safety gear, and supplies necessary to complete the work safely and efficiently – all provided at no cost to the families and individuals receiving assistance.
Volunteer crews will depart from the ministry’s headquarters in Danville, Virginia, on Sunday, August 2, and will serve in Menasha and Appleton, Wisconsin, as well as the surrounding region through August 14.
Even as volunteers deploy to Wisconsin, God’s Pit Crew continues serving in West Virginia, where Immediate Response teams remain on the ground assisting families in Weston, Buckhannon, and surrounding communities following the deadly flash flooding that devastated the region.
“Right now, we’re witnessing two communities hundreds of miles apart facing overwhelming devastation from very different disasters,” stated God’s Pit Crew Immediate Response Director, Chris Chiles.

Every deployment requires trucks on the road, fuel, equipment, supplies, meals, and lodging for our volunteers. The need is tremendous right now, and every donation helps keep our crews moving so we can continue bringing help to families who have lost so much.”
Throughout both deployments, God’s Pit Crew will provide lodging and meals for volunteers, allowing them to focus fully on serving those in need.
