GOD’S PIT CREW’S MULTI-STATE TORNADO RELIEF EFFORTS ONGOING
DANVILLE, VA. (May 23, 2025) – In the wake of devastating tornadoes, God’s Pit Crew has deployed disaster response teams to two hard-hit areas: St. Louis, Missouri, and Morganfield, Kentucky. While one crew continues critical relief efforts in St. Louis, a second team has mobilized to assist storm-ravaged communities in Morganfield.
“This level of destruction demands a powerful and compassionate response,” explained Randy Johnson, God’s Pit Crew President. “We are committed to standing with these communities during their time of need, but we cannot do it alone. Our crews are in need of volunteers and donations to continue our mission of bringing hope and healing to these areas.”
God’s Pit Crew teams plan to remain on the ground in both locations through May 31, with ongoing assessments to determine if an extension of the response will be required.
“Standing in the middle of these hard-hit neighborhoods, the devastation is overwhelming. Homes are gone, lives have been turned upside down, and families are facing unimaginable loss. It’s heartbreaking – but it’s also why we’re here,” shared Chris Chiles, God’s Pit Crew Immediate Disaster Response
Coordinator currently onsite in St. Louis.
“The need is urgent, and our crews are doing everything they can, but we simply can’t meet the need without more help. We need volunteers – people willing to give their time and hearts to help these families begin to rebuild. Every set of hands makes a difference.”
The nonprofit is urgently calling for volunteers willing to serve and financial contributions to support the massive relief efforts. Volunteer registration and donation opportunities can be accessed at GodsPitCrew.org.
Volunteers looking to assist with either deployment are asked to register using the information buttons located within the red banner on the God’s Pit Crew website (GodsPitCrew.org).
