GPC KEEPS HOPE MOVING FORWARD DURING PANDEMIC WITH NEW VIRTUAL COLLECTION DRIVE

DANVILLE, VA- 07/15/20: When COVID-19 impacted GPC’s annual Blessing Bucket Drive, it was obvious that despite not being able to collect supplies at stores in person, there was still a need for the essential relief items that fill up a Blessing Bucket. GPC’s solution was to create and launch a new “Virtual Blessing Bucket” website.

The virtual Blessing Bucket site is similar to a typical online shopping experience. On this site, donors can choose items to add to their bucket, and their monetary donation to the Blessing Bucket program will allow GPC to purchase these essential relief items in bulk so thousands of Blessing Buckets can be filled for disaster victims!

“The great thing about the online Blessing Bucket Drive is that it isn’t just up for the two days that would have been the “official” Blessing Bucket Drive, which is this Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18. Donors can shop and donate any time,” said Julie Burnett, blessing bucket program director for God’s Pit Crew.

The goal for the 2020 Blessing Bucket Drive is to raise enough funds to purchase enough products to fill 5,000 Blessing Buckets.

For those who are interested in participating in the virtual Blessing Bucket Drive, they can visit www.godspitcrew.org and click the Blessing Bucket Drive button on the home page, or they can go directly to the virtual Blessing Bucket site by visiting https://gpc.dojiggyengage.com/.
