DANVILLE, VA- 08/18/20: The month of August has been busy for everyone at God’s Pit Crew. So far this month, GPC has responded to two disasters. The first response was to Staunton, Virginia, after a strong flood caused damage on August 8. GPC officials traveled to Staunton to assess damages and followed up with shipping a tractor-trailer load of relief supplies. The second response was shipped to Malcom, Iowa, where a Derecho impacted the Midwest. A tractor-trailer load of relief supplies, Blessing Buckets, and generators were shipped and arrived in Iowa on August 15. We’re also preparing to send Blessing Buckets and supplies to Iowa after a strong Derecho impacted the Midwest. GPC and PAR’s massive Blessing Bucket Fundraising Drive also continues throughout the week of August 17. The goal is to assemble 6,500. Please consider sponsoring a Blessing Bucket by clicking the Donate Now button on the home page.
