FOLLOWING SEVERE STORMS AND TORNADOES ACROSS THE MIDWEST, GOD’S PIT CREW SENDING RELIEF SUPPLIES TO AID VICTIMS OF DEADLY OUTCOME

DANVILLE, VA. (March 15, 2024) – Immense damage has been left throughout Ohio following deadly storms that impacted the state – and across other Midwest regions – Thursday evening.  Relief efforts provided by God’s Pit Crew are being sent to aid those affected by the widespread system.

A full semi-load containing pallets of bottled water, Gatorade, and Blessing Buckets – which are five-gallon buckets containing non-perishable food, water, hygiene items, first-aid kits, Bibles, and handwritten notes of encouragement – is being delivered to Lewistown, Ohio.  These supplies will be distributed by officials in the area to aid victims of the storm, as well as those serving the area and helping with relief efforts.

Early Friday morning, God’s Pit Crew had representatives on the ground in Ohio assessing the situation to determine what resources are needed most at this time.

“As the area continues to survey the situation and implement steps moving forward in the recovery process, we’ll be in constant communication with partners in that area and ready to provide assistance where needed,” stated Chris Chiles, God’s Pit Crew Immediate Disaster Response Coordinator.

While supplies are now being sent to Ohio, Immediate Disaster Response volunteers with God’s Pit Crew are currently deployed in Texas helping with wildfire relief efforts, as well.  God’s Pit Crew President, Randy Johnson, shared the importance of being as proactive as possible in the midst of back-to-back disaster scenarios.

“Our committed volunteers, donors, and partners make it possible for us to respond to multiple disasters at once,” said Johnson.  “All donations received for disaster relief efforts allow our ministry to aid disaster victims with life-sustaining supplies that are prepared and ready to go when needed.  Your donations and support are touching thousands of lives, and we are so appreciative of that.”

As the ministry looks to restock their inventory of Blessing Buckets to keep responding and providing the much-needed materials to survivors, anyone interested in sponsoring a Blessing Bucket – which cost $35 per bucket to fill – or to support their ongoing immediate disaster response efforts is encouraged to visit GodsPitCrew.org or call (434) 836-4472.
